Phone Messages, Introduction

A SharePoint Online tutorial by Peter Kalmström

SharePoint iconIn 15 articles we will show a way to use SharePoint to automate the distribution of phone messages within an organization. The system also has a way to register if the phone message has been taken care of or not.

It might seem a bit of overkill to go through all this trouble for phone messages, but this series is intended to show off many different techniques that you can use for any information gathering and distribution you need to do within your organization. The phone messages are intended as a simple piece of information that everyone can relate to.

Peter Kalmstrom, CEO and Systems Designer of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions, will show two solutions in these phone messages articles. He will first describe a simple solution that is difficult to scale. Then Peter will show a more advanced solution that will work over many site collections in a SharePoint tenancy – or farm, because this will work on-premise too.

In the demo below Peter gives an overview over the phone message articles and describes the assumptions they build on.
