Build a Company Guidelines Site
A SharePoint Online tutorial by Peter Kalmström
organizations have documents for company guidelines that
should be shared among users. You can of course just upload
them to a document library, but in the demo below Peter
Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer of kalmstrom.com Business
Solutions, describes a more elegant way: create a subsite
for company guidelines and add the content of each document
on a separate page. Link to those pages from the Quick Launch.
Peter uses new model pages in his demo, but you can do the
same with wiki pages.
Create a Company Guidelines Site
- Create a new subsite.
- Create a new page and give it the same name as one
of the guideline documents.
- Add the content of the document to the page.
- Repeat step 2 and 3 for all documents.
- Remove all links from the Quick Launch and add links
to the guideline pages instead.
