Welcome
to download the Calendar Browser PowerShell script
for installation of the Sandboxed solution. It comes in
a zipped file that includes three files.
When you have extracted the .zip file, you can modify the
.ps1 file that is included in the package and then run it
to install Calendar Browser in multiple sites. The
PowerShell package works in both Online and On-Premises
SharePoint.
Download the Calendar Browser PowerShell Package
Yes, I want to download the Calendar Browser .zip
package, which includes a .ps1 file that I will modify and
run to install Calendar Browser.
E-mail address:
You might need to allow pop-ups
for the download to work.
Upgrade for Standard Subscribers
To upgrade Calendar Browser, download the new file
and modify and run the PowerShell script again. Make sure
that you include all sites in the script. After the upgrade,
all installations must be registered with the key you have
received from kalmstrom.com.
Evaluator Information
If you want to evaluate Calendar Browser, you are
welcome to try it for 30 days. After that, you must
start a subscription
to continue using the product. Also refer to the evaluator
information on the general Download
page.
The demos below shows how to use the PowerShell script.
Install Calendar Browser with a PowerShell Script
Changes that must be made for each organization are explained
in the script, but you should still have some experience
of PowerShell to use this installation method. Refer
to
the kalmstrom.com PowerShell Tips and, for SharePoint
Online, also our book
PowerShell with SharePoint from Scratch, to learn more.
It is the same script for all SharePoint editions, but note
that SharePoint Online only supports PS7, which does not
work with PowerShell ISE. Peter instead uses Visual Studio
Code for the SharePoint Online demo.
The script creates a Site Assets library in the site, if
it doesn’t already exist.
Open PowerShell ISE or Visual Studio Code as an
administrator.
Open the .ps1 file included in the downloaded .zip
file.
Modify the script:
Change to your SharePoint version if necessary.
(For SharePoint Online, add your Client ID.)
Include the sites where you want to install
Calendar Browser.
Connect to your farm or tenant.
Run the script.
It is a good idea to keep the sites part of the script stored,
so that you easily can paste it into the new script when
it is time to upgrade Calendar Browser.
Use the script for installation in SharePoint On-Premises
If you get problems with the activation, please make sure
that the sandboxed code service is running on the SharePoint
server, refer todemo 12.
Use the script for installation in SharePoint Online
The PowerShell script enables scripting in the sites during
the installation in SharePoint Online. This setting will
be automatically reverted in 24 hours, and it is only needed
for installation and upgrade of Calendar Browser
- not for use.
