Installation and Upgrade Assistance
Save time and let us install our SharePoint products
in your farm or tenant!
We have made our best to make the kalmstrom.com products
easy to install and to document how it is done. The smoothest
installation method is to use a PowerShell script, and we
supply such scripts too. They must, however, be modified
for each organization and should not be used by anyone without
PowerShell knowledge.
Premium subscribers get free installation and upgrade assistance,
but all users and evaluators can request such at a low fee.
Expert assistance saves time and errors are avoided or immediately
taken care of.
Editions
All kalmstrom.com products come in two editions, with different
reasons for using a script for installation:
- Sandboxed solutions have been with us for
many years, and these installations tend to be free
from Microsoft bugs.
Manual installation is however time consuming if you
want to install our products in multiple sites. A PowerShell
script is much quicker for all SharePoint editions,
but especially for SharePoint Online.
- SPFX edtions are very easy to install in
all SharePoint Online sites at the same time, but it
is a new Microsoft product, and it still has some bugs.
Microsoft are working on them for the regular SPFX installation,
but with a script I can avoid most of these bugs.
Fees
For Standard subscribers and evaluators, the fee for installation
or upgrade of one product is 40 EUR / 50 USD, paid in advance.
Installation of both editions in one farm or tenant is included,
if requested.
Should the organization upgrade to or decide on a Premium
subscription, that fee is withdrawn from the subscription
fee for the first year. Existing Premium subscribers only
need to request the service, and no fee must be paid.
Online meeting
We most often start the installation assistance process
with an online meeting/workshop with Peter Kalmström, where
the requirements and possibilities are discussed.
Custom script
After the meeting, Peter creates a PowerShell script adapted
to your organization's requirements and runs it at a time
you have agreed on. Subscribers may keep the
script, in case you want to try it yourself at an upgrade
