Microsoft Office and other products and services built on Office, Exchange or SharePoint.

The common theme for all the kalmstrom.com products
is that they add a bit of functionality on top of
Microsoft Office. When you stand on the shoulders of

By knowing more about the Office platform than most
and making intelligent choices about which
technologies to use, and when to use them, we can
build solutions that are cheap, powerful and
easy-to-use.
We don’t build functionality from
scratch if it is already available in the
Office/Windows/Exchange/SharePoint platform that
most of our users already have and like.

improved, and this improvement is my prime goal
also for the future.

Peter Kalmstrom, owner, creator, CEO Outlook, Excel and SharePoint expert
I begun developing
my products around the turn of the millennium, when I was a consultant and could not
find the products my customers needed on the
market. My first applications were
PF HelpDesk and
Calendar Browser, both developed for
Swedish towns. Then came one product after another,
and I started selling standard solutions of them as
well.
Outlook Skype was a big success in 2004,
and that lead to my employment as Product Manager
for
Skype
Toolbars in 2005. If you have seen phone
numbers on web pages turn into clickable buttons ‒
then you have seen an example of the kind of work
that I was responsible for at Skype. The integration
of Skype in Outlook is of course also my creation.
In October 2010 I left Skype to concentrate more on
kalmstrom.com and to lecture on advanced IT
seminars. I have today 15 MCP Certifications, the latest for SharePoint.
My greatest challenge is to choose
the right path among all the interesting and
feature-rich technology offerings out there and to
build applications that take advantage of it all.
This is a challenge I am happy to meet!
