There are three options to add a picture to a SharePoint page.
In the previous demo Peter Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions,
showed how to add a picture ‘From Computer’.
In the demo below Peter shows how to add a picture ‘From Address’.
In the next demo Peter will explain how to add a picture “From SharePoint”.
When you add a picture from an address, you have no control over it if you don’t control the original site.
If the picture is removed from the original site, it will no longer be shown on your SharePoint site,
and if it is updated on the original site it will be updated on your site too.
To have full control over the picture, download it and use the “From Computer” or “From SharePoint” option.
But this of course means that your picture will not be updated when the original picture is updated.
These are the steps to add a picture from an address to a SharePoint page:
Click on ‘Edit’ on the top right of the page. The page will open in Edit mode.
Place the mouse cursor where you want to add a picture.
Open the INSERT tab and expand the ‘Picture’ accordion.
There are three options. Select ‘From Address’.
Fill the URL in the address field.
Click OK, and the picture will be displayed on the page.
