Create SharePoint Site Collection With PowerShell

Move files into SharePoint 3

A SharePoint tutorial by Peter Kalmstrom

PowerShell iconPeter Kalmstrom, CEO of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions and Microsoft certified SharePoint specialist, has in an assignment planned the move of millions of Office files into SharePoint.

In a series of Tips articles, Peter describes the whole process of moving a huge amount of files into SharePoint. This is the third article.

To decide how the different files and folders should be shown in SharePoint, Peter needed a way to quickly create and reset site collections. He therefore created a PowerShell script that did the job for him, and with that he could try and show different options without having to waste time on creating new site collections.

In the demo below Peter goes through the script and explains how it works.
