OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel makes it easy to analyse and report on huge amounts of data Most organizations have lots of databases that contains huge amounts of information. Large investments have been made in developing those databases. However, usually the investments stop when it comes to developing a good method for exploring those data.

OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel came into being in as an attempt to resolve that problem. The application facilitates business intelligence by helping management study and draw conclusions from data. OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel is an integrated part in four of our other applications – Calendar Browser, HelpDesk OSP, PF HelpDesk and TimeCard – but it can be used stand-alone as well.

OLAP Reporting Tool for Excel extends the built-in OLAP features in Excel and makes them easier to work with, especially for workgroups. Users can share customized reports without effort. Either display a graph or a table or a combination of both. Choose between all the Excel graph types and also use the multi-graph feature to display multiple graphs side by side, compared on any set of data.

No client installation – OLAP Reporting uses functionality already built into Microsoft Excel 2000/2002/XP and 2003. OLAP Reporting works also with Excel 2007, after download and installation of OWC.
  
The application connects to a .cub file or directly to Microsoft Analysis Services. Nothing is installed on the client – simply run the executable, it will look for .cub files or let you connect to the Analysis Services.

OLAP Reporting report descriptions:

You can describe the reports in three ways:

1. Super Category –
top level categorization

2. Category –
sub level categorization

3. Free text description of the report in html format. With the mini .html editor you can easily describe your reports in rich text format, a good help for people who are not used to analyzing statistics reports.
 
The categories are used also in the Reports tree view, so if you assign a report to a specific category it will be displayed with other reports in the same category.
