Upgrade Templates Manager for SharePoint

Templates Manager iconMinimum and Medium subscribers are welcome to download the latest version of Templates Manager here. Premium Subscribers will get a message from kalmstrom.com when their setup files have been updated.
 

Upgrade process

  1. Clean-up Templates Manager Publisher with the button in the Publisher settings.
  2. Deactivate the feature Templates Manager Publisher on all sites where it is activated.
  3. Clean-up Templates Manager User with the button in the User settings.
  4. Deactivate the feature Templates Manager User on all sites where it is activated.
  5. Deactivate the old Templates Manager .wsp file under Site settings >Solutions.
  6. Delete the old Templates Manager.wsp file.
  7. Upload the new Templates Manager .wsp file to the Solutions gallery.
  8. Activate the new Templates Manager.wsp file.
  9. Activate Templates Manager Publisher on each site where it is used.
  10. Click on the "Templates Manager" link in the Site settings to re-create the link in the Quick Launch. (Refresh the page to see the link.)
  11. Activate Templates Manager User on each site where it is used.

Permissions

Standard SharePoint permissions are used for Templates Manager.
  • The person who uploads and activates Templates Manager for the site collection needs to be Administrator of the site collection.
  • The person who activates Templates Manager Publisher or Templates Manager User on a site, needs to be site owner or site designer.
