Outlook Calendar Meeting Requests With Time Tracking Data
Borgholm 18 April 2012
kalmstrom.com Business Solutions
will soon releasd a new version of
TimeCard, the add-in that makes the Outlook Calendar a
full-fledged reporting application. Soon TimeCard will be able to add TimeCard metadata automatically when a meeting request is accepted.
If you use the Outlook Calendar to plan your time and send meeting requests, why not also use it for
keeping track of your working time and expenses? With TimeCard added to
the Outlook calendar, you can report hours and expenses to a database and then analyze the data with the integrated statistics tool. Or, for simpler handling, just export them to a nice Excel sheet.
When you have TimeCard installed and you open an Outlook calendar appointment, it has dropdowns where you can select Customer and Task – or whatever values you need to report on.
With the new TimeCard version you will get the time reporting data automatically when you accept a meeting request.
If one TimeCard user tags an appointment with TimeCard data and then sends a meeting request to another TimeCard user, the TimeCard data from the invitation will be added automatically for the invited person when the meeting is accepted. Say Yes to a meeting, and you will at once have it ready for the time report!
The new TimeCard meeting request feature is of course most suitable for teams where all members use TimeCard. Therefore kalmstrom.com Business Solutions will first upgrade the Workgroup version of TimeCard with the new feature. The Workgroup version has central reporting and configuration, and it is used by companies and organizations worldwide.
TimeCard Single is intended for one person only.
Welcome to http://www.kalmstrom.com for
more information about TimeCard. You may test the full version for
60 days without any obligations.
Report Time "On Behalf
Of" With TimeCard For The Outlook Calendar
Borgholm 28 January 2012
kalmstrom.com Business Solutions has
released version 4.4 of the time
saving Outlook add-on that lets you report time
directly from
the Outlook Calendar. With version 4.4 of
TimeCard Workgroup
you may not only report time for yourself but also for another person and still get the correct name to the database.
With
TimeCard
users report time and expenses from the Outlook calendar. For each appointment they select one, two or three admin defined properties from dropdown lists, and when it is time to report they do that too inside the Outlook calendar. Quick and correct!
The new "Report on behalf of" feature is meant to be used with a shared Outlook calendar, when you want to let one person, for example a secretary, report time on behalf of one or several other persons and maybe also make appointments for them.
In case the person who reports time and the person he/she reports on behalf of are not connected in a local network, the kalmstrom.com team recommends that they use a shared Outlook calendar on Microsoft's cloud based Office 365.
With the "Report on behalf" of feature it is even possible to report time also for people who don’t have TimeCard installed on their computers. It could be for example someone who needs to use a Mac instead of a PC.
