When making a fresh installation of PF HelpDesk, you might be unable to install PFHelpDesk even after selecting/or creating a new folder in the Outlook prompt folder dialog.

You might also see the following error message: "Either, you have selected the root of Public Folders, or you don't have the appropriate permission to create a PF HelpDesk sub-folder within the selected folder."

This usually happens if you are trying to install PF HelpDesk in a shared mailbox folder but have not enabled 'Allow script in Shared folders' in Outlook. Enabling this option should do the trick:

In Outlook 2003, go into Tools >Options >Other >Advanced Options and check the box Allow script in shared folders.

In Outlook 2007 and 2010, go into Tools > Trust Center > Email Security.

For information on the installation of PF HelpDesk in a shared mailbox, refer to the PF HelpDesk manual.
