Migration to new file server: how do we migrate the PF Helpdesk shared files to a new file server?

In this example the installation was done under a UNC path, \\Tallstug-myh03g\PFHD, where Tallstug-myho3g is the server name. Follow these steps to move PF HelpDesk.



1. Create a new folder on the server. Here it is called PFHD-New.



2. Set the permissions for this folder in the same way as for the old PFHD folder.



3. Move the files from the previous (\\Tallstug-myh03g\PFHD) folder to the new folder (\\Tallstug-myh03g\PFHD-New)

4. Change the homepage. Go into the Outlook PF HelpDesk folder, for example >Public Folders >PF Helpdesk, and set the path to the homepage in the new folder.



5. Done!
