The developer edition of Public Folder HelpDesk comes with
  • the source codes of the PF HelpDesk executables which are in VB6.
  • the source code of KBase (which is available independently) (VB6 + VbScript)
  • the source code of OLAP Reporting Tool (VB6)
To work with the developer edition, you would require the Visual Basic 6 development IDE that form part of Visual Studio 6. Knowledge of Outlook Object Model is required extensively for making changes/adding new features.

You also need to know how to work with Outlook Redemption and Office Web Components.
