How do I upgrade/repair a multiple installation of PF HelpDesk?

With the PF HelpDesk MSI installer only a single instance of PF HelpDesk can be installed from a particular system, so this will only allow upgrade/repair for that single instance installation of PF HelpDesk. If you have multiple helpdesk public folders and want to update/upgrade all of them, you can perform a manual update instead. Please follow these steps for upgrading/repairing a multiple installation of PF HelpDesk.

1) Upgrade one of the existing installations.

2) Copy all the files and folders except for the database files� PFHelpDesk.mdb or DBConnections.txt� of this upgraded installation.

3) Paste the copied files to all your existing PF HelpDesk file folders. Before you proceed, make sure corresponding PF HelpDesk applications are not running in their respective public folders.

The incapacity to select folder is one of the drawbacks using the MSI installer, but on the whole we have considered the advantages to outweigh the disadvantages.
