The upgrade must be performed by a person who has Write permission over the server folder and Owner permission over the Outlook public folder/mailbox.

We recommend that you use PF HelpDesk with the latest Office Service Pack.

Upgrade process

 
For details about upgrading from V10, refer to the Manual.

Note that the registration keys for earlier versions of PF HelpDesk cannot be used for version 11. 
  1. Save the installation file PFHelpDeskSetup.exe to your computer and then to the PF HelpDesk root file folder on your server.

  2. From a client, run the newly downloaded Setup file and in the installation type dialog, select 'Upgrade/Repair existing Public Folder HelpDesk' and click Next.

  3. Specify the Outlook folder of your existing PF HelpDesk installation.

  4. Upgrade the PF HelpDesk Client Tools. Each client will be prompted to do so next time PF HelpDesk is started.

  5. (If you have multiple installations, repeat the process for each Outlook folder.)
