Try Public Folder HelpDesk


Public Folder HelpDesk for Outlook - issue tracking and support handling inside MS OutlookWelcome to download and try Public Folder HelpDesk for 30 days without any obligations. After 30 days the application stops functioning, and you must either
register it or uninstall it (through the Control Panel).

Public Folder HelpDesk is a client-server application. The client tools are installed on the clients and run as an Outlook add-in. The remaining functionality is supplied by executables that don't have to be installed, but rather are run directly from the server when needed.

Installation on the server must be done by an Administrator, who also must have owner rights over the selected public folder/mailbox.
  
Installation to a local PST for testing can be done by any user without needing any special privilege.

Instructions for new single installation of Public Folder HelpDesk in a public folder. (For details and for installation in a shared mailbox or multiple installation, refer to the manual.)
  
  1. Download the file PFHelpDeskSetup in .exe or .zip format.(Extract the .zip file.)

  2. Create a PF HelpDesk directory in any shared file folder on your server and install the file PFHelpDeskSetup.exe into it. You can use either a UNC-path, such as \\servername\sharename, or a mapped drive, such as Y:.
     
  3. From a client that has access to the PF HelpDesk directory, click the file PFHelpDeskSetup.exe to start the installation. Outlook should be closed when PF HelpDesk is is installed.

  4. Select New installation and then the PF HelpDesk directory you just created.

  5. Select language. Fifteen European languages are supported.

  6. Select or create an Outlook folder of the type Mail and Post Items, under which the PF HelpDesk subfolder will be created.

  7. Install the client tools to the local machine when prompted to do so.

  8. When Outlook is started again after the Client Tools installation, select or create a database where the tickets will be stored.

  9. The first time PF HelpDesk is started on each client, the user is prompted to install the client tools. This user should have local administrator rights.

Register
When the 30 days evaluation period is expired the administrator must register PF HelpDesk to continue using the application. This is done via the Register tab in the Settings. If the person who registers PF HelpDesk has owner's right over the PF HelpDesk folder in Outlook, registration is done for all user of PF HelpDesk.
