kalmstrom.com CEO Peter
Kalmstrom has figured out how to create an app that adds whole day appointments to an existing iOS calendar, and he used his knowledge last year to create iNameDays. This app adds name days to the default iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch calendar,
and it is now updated with the name days for 2013. The kalmstrom.com team has also added French name days to the list to select from.
kalmstrom.com Business Solutions had offered their popular NameDays application to Outlook users for nearly a decade
before they released a new version that works on several more calendar
types. For iOS a special solution was required though, and
iNameDays
was born. Is is for sale at the iTunes App Store at the reasonable price of 0.99 USD.
Peter
Kalmstrom is known from Skype, where he earlier was responsible for Skype Toolbars. Web page phone numbers that becomes clickable buttons for Skype calls is an example on his inventiveness
‒ a small thing that looks simple when it is there
but has made life a little bit easier for many.
Why 23 on the icon? Why does the iNameDays
main screen show name days for 23 January in most of the available languages?
The answer is touching: kalmstrom.com Business Solutions is a family
enterprise, and it was Peter's mother Kate who
decided to use that day. "23 January is a very special and
happy day for me, as it is Peter's birthday", she
explains. "I thought is would be suitable to choose that very
day of the year for our first born iOS app also."
iNameDays gives a choice of name days for fourteen countries.
Each name day is added as a whole day meeting on top
of the day in the default iOS calendar, where people
have their other calendar info as well. Peter's Swedish compatriots may also select week numbers, much used
for business planning in Sweden.
kalmstrom.com Business Solutions is the brand for
software from the Swedish company Kalmstrom Enterprises AB. kalmstrom.com
Business Solutions offers add-ons for MS Outlook, Excel
and SharePoint, all easy to install and use and all
