Calendar Browser is a groupware and
should be installed in a shared server file folder and
in a NEW Outlook public folder, see instructions below. A minimal client tool should also be installed on each client.
For just testing the software, though, you can install
it in any file folder and new Outlook folder of the
type Mail and Post Items (not a calendar
folder) except the Inbox.
Create a Calendar
Browser directory in any shared file folder on your
server and save the file you downloaded CalendarBrowserSetup.exe
into it. You can use either a UNC-path, such as \\servername\sharename,
or a mapped drive, such as Y:.
The set up is done from a client machine, not directly
on the server, so from a client go into the
folder where you put the CalendarBrowserSetup.exe and click
the file to start the installation. The installation program
will lead you through the installation.
By default, the installer specifies the path to
the folder where CalendarBrowserSetup.exe
is placed and installs all the files there.
Each client is prompted to install the
Calendar Browser Client when the Calendar Browser Outlook folder is opened the first time.
Calendar Browser Client is designed to be run by the local administrator. For Windows Vista, an administrator who performs the installation should run the
CBClientSetup.exe with 'Run as Administrator' mode.
Calendar Browser is based on Microsoft
Exchange server, and standard Exchange folder
permissions are used.
NOTE:
Outlook should be closed when you install
Calendar Browser and Calendar Browser Client.
(It will open automatically in between, though,
when you select Outlook folder for Calendar Browser.)
For detailed information about the installation, refer to
Calendar Browser supports 15 European
languages, and the language is automatically set to the
same as of the operative system. If the OS language is not
supported by Calendar Browser, English is used instead.
Download a .zip-file
If you have problems downloading an .exe-file you can try
this alternative, which downloads a .zip-file. When you
extract the .zip-file you get the .exe-file from the download
above.
Procedure:
1. Save the .zip file.
2. Extract the .zip file:
3. Click the .exe file to perform the installation.

Facilitate business intelligence by following up performance
with the statistics tool
OLAP Reporting Tool integrated in
Calendar Browser and included in the download.
NOTE: Calendar Browser supports
Outlook 2000-2007, but the Overview feature does
not work well with Outlook 2000. This depends on the Microsoft Redemption library and is therefore beyound our control.
