Save Login Information
An Office 365 tutorial by Peter Kalmström
In
the demo below Peter Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer
of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions, shows how to save your
Office 365 password and user name in Internet Explorer.
As Microsoft now recommends Edge instead of Internet
Explorer, this article is no longer valid. This page
will be removed as soon as the book Office 365 from
Scratch has been updated. The demo is removed from
YouTube, but we keep this page for now, to inform
readers who use the link in the book.
We recommend that you instead
add your login details to Windows 10 as described in
the book and in another article.
Peter talks about two options. In the first one you only
have to check the box Keep me signed in. But if you want
to avoid typing the password also, Peter recommends the
steps below for Internet Explorer.
Save user name and password for Office 365 login
- Open any app in Office 365, such as your Mail, Calendar,
OneDrive or your Sites page.
- Go to the Settings gear in Internet Explorer.
- Select Internet Options.
- An Internet Options dialog will open. Under the
General tab, click on the Use current button at Home
Page.
- Under the Security tab, make sure that Local intranet
or Trusted sites is selected.
