Delve – Each User's Profile App

Office 365 logoThe Delve app gives each Office 365 user a possibility to show a personal profile to all their contacts. Used in the right way, the Delve interface can be very informative and even fun.

In the demo below Peter Kalmström, CEO and Systems Designer of kalmstrom.com Business Solutions, gives an introduction to Delve and shows how to upload a profile picture for Office 365.

In Delve users can share contact information, projects and interests and announce any speciality under ‘Ask me about’. They can even have their own blog. Used in the right way, these details will help employees and managers find people with special interest or expertise, which of course benefits the organization as well as the individual.

With Delve, Microsoft wants to help users find the Office 365 and OneDrive for Business information that is most interesting to them. Therefore the user’s most recent files are displayed on the Delve home page. Also files that the user’s contacts have been working with are displayed – if the user already has access to them.

Contacts are shown in the Delve left panel, and when the user clicks on a contact, that contact's information is displayed.

Technically, Delve belongs to each user’s personal SharePoint site collection at https://TENANT-my.sharepoint.com, where users also can find their OneDrive for Business.
