Opening: I get an error message that "localStorage is null" when I go to the Kanban Task Manager home page.

This is a typical error message:

localStorage is null error

This error appears while opening the Kanban Task Manager because the local storage in the web browser has been disabled. To fix this issue you need to enable Dom or Local Storage in your browser. Below you will find the steps on how to enable this in the major browsers.

Enable Local or DOM Storage in Chrome:
  1. Open Google Chrome and click on the "Customize and control" button to the right.
  2. Click on "Settings" and then click on "Show Advanced Settings".
  3. Go to "Privacy" and click on "Content settings".
  4. Under Cookies, select the radio-button "Allow local data to be set (recommended)".
  5. Click on "Done".
  6. Restart the browser.
Enable Local or DOM Storage in Firefox:
  1. Open Mozilla Firefox and type "about:config" in the address field.
  2. Hit "Enter" to view the internal browser settings. Now a security message will be displayed.
  3. Click on "I"ll be careful I promise!".
  4. Scroll down to "dom.storage.enabled".
  5. Right click and select "Toggle" to enable Dom storage.
  6. Restart the browser.
Enable Local or DOM Storage in Internet Explorer:
  1. Open Internet Explorer and click on the "Gear/Settings" icon at the top of the right side.
  2. Click on "Internet Options" to open the "Internet Option" Dialog.
  3. Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  4. Go to "Security".
  5. Check the box "Enable Dom storage".
  6. Click on "OK".
  7. Restart the browser.
